16TH INTERNATIONAL RESEARCH SCHOOL
IRSchool 2026, The Final Day: Science, Tears, and New Friendships
11th of July 2026
On July 8, after the project defenses, we officially closed the International Research School 2026. But the farewell turned out to be a long one – because the real celebration was still ahead.
The next day began with a trip to Yakutsk, where we visited several scientific and art museums. It was a wonderful opportunity to see the city and continue our informal learning beyond the school walls.
In the evening, we gathered for the unofficial closing ceremony. As is our tradition, we presented certificates and small gifts to every participant – a token of gratitude for your dedication and curiosity. And then came the farewell party.
There were many tears of joy, warm hugs, and heartfelt words shared among friends who just a few days ago were strangers. It was a true celebration of science, but most importantly, a celebration of people who came together from different countries and regions.
Now everyone has gone their separate ways, back to their homes. But we truly believe that each of you is leaving with new friends, bright memories, and the feeling of having been part of something special – a real festival of discovery.
Thank you for being with us. Until we meet again!
